teeth are gross up close

in an effort to be responsible and mature i booked myself a dentist appointment.

i have cavities. lots of them. a disturbing amount. little cavities. enough that i have to make two more trips.

i got an hour long "consultation" where they poked and prodded and measured and x-rayed and did everything except what i wanted - a cleaning. They even put on the spit-bib to make me think that i was going to get some tartar-fighting action.

but no...and assessment is an assessment.

then i find out that the dental hygenist is booked six weeks in advanced (what ever happened to mom and pop dentistry when they did it all themselves?!). But lo and behold there was an opening on Monday morning. Then, there was another opening that afternoon for my fillings. So after a two year stint away from regular checkups, i have three appointments in five days.

The moral of the story is to go and make an appointment with your dental professional. You won't regret it. They have TV's and movies now!
