In a mild attempt not to be boring and dull as per usual, I went out to meet some folks for drinks at ye olde Oasis. Of course, friends were late and I ended up drinking by myself for a half hour walking around looking quite lost sheep. It ended well and I was soon swooped to a table with said friends. Out of the group, three of us were minister’s kids which I thought was funny – birds of a feather I suppose.

2 pitchers later we headed to some other pseudo swanky bar where I proceeded to get more hammered. YAY. All thoughts of being at work for 8 slowly melted away. I forgot how fun it was to talk to people who actually like things are aren’t 100% jaded. These were definitely glass half full people.

But I digress. At 12 I came home and watched Jon Stewart’s take on the presidential debate and then proceeded to have the worst drunk sleep of my life. But the upside to the evening was that I didn’t pay a cent and I was the only girl which in a small group setting can be a novelty.
