My mother, sister-in-law and i went to see The Life Aquatic last night. My mom and i haven't been at the theatre together since Return of the Jedi i believe. Although i think that she was with us when we went to see Batteries Not Included. We went all the way to Taiwan to see that movie!

well the movie, in my opinion, was enjoyably enjoyable. Owen Wilson's accent was outrageous and Willem Dafoe was quite cute. Jeff Goldblum stole the scene whenever he showed up ("is that my espresso machine?"). I really like Bill Murray in this movie. Wes Anderson seems to know how to use him. He didn't smile once during the whole movie - which i sort of admired. So many people seem to dislike Bill Murray, but i have always thought of him as entertaining. But one only needs to be reminded of Garfield to offset any admiration they have for the man. the boat set was also fun. The least enjoyable thing of the movie was Kate Blanchett's voice - it sounded too sugary and helium-ny.

I took the bus back to Halifax today. I forgot how annoying university students are who talk about their studies. i just cringe thinking how i used to be one of them, until i realized that i hate school of course!

now its just kicking back and trying to get organized before work tomorrow. I haven't been there in two weeks and i'm scared to think what the office looks like. will i even remember how to use the phone system????
